Today we travel back home to Victoria to spend summer. Had my last run this morning in the searing heat of 30C which I will miss. Temp is only about 10C in most Victoria mornings, brrrrrrrrrr...
First stop is Taipei where we stay overnight to catch a morning flight to Tokyo, then an afternoon flight to Seattle, then another morning flight to Victoria.
Even after two years of absence, it feels like we have never left Victoria. Its good to be home!
Hi. We are moving to Hualien next month. (Originally from Vancouver, the last 8 years in Taipei). In Taipei my husband plays drop-in tennis about three times a week at the courts behind our house. Besides the tennis club are there any drop-in tennis courts in Hualien? When we were there to scout things out I saw a court. But empty. The fact that it was noon on the hottest day of the year probably contributed to the lack of players.
ReplyDeleteHi, the tennis courts at Hualien county on Fucian road are public courts, and are mostly for drop ins. I pay a nominal $150NT a month, and I usually show up around 2pm to pick up a game. I play singles when courts are not busy, and doubles when they are. Folks are very nice here and after a while, you will get to know everyone.
